In addition to comedy, Rod is also an avid poker player. He can often be found in Vegas, mixing it up with some of the biggest names in the business. When he's not working on comedy or playing poker, Rod enjoys traveling, photography, rock climbing, cycling and scuba diving. 

Rod Owens

Rod Owens isn't just a comedy producer, promoter and booker, he's also a fan. Comedy is more than Rod's business. It's his passion.

Rod grew up in the great state of Oklahoma. He lived in several small towns, mostly in the northeastern part of the state, before making the move to the big city of Tulsa. There Rod graduated high school, married his high school sweetheart and went on to have a successful career in banking.

Rod always had an interest in comedy but it wasn't until he met Rodney Carrington that he began to look at it as a potential career path. After 10 years in the financial industry, Rod started his own business, an advertising agency, so he could spend more time pursuing his passions. These pursuits eventually led him to Colorado where he found his place in the comedy world, producing and promoting comedy shows.

Rod's professionalism sets him apart in this industry. He works directly with each of his clients and tailors his approach to their venue and their needs. He takes a similar approach to promoting comedy shows as he does when running multifaceted advertising campaigns for nationally recognized brands like Buffalo Wild Wings, Quizno's, PetCo, and O'Reilly Auto Parts. 

Rod now splits his time between Colorado Springs and the Live Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas, Nevada but he has kept in touch with his mid-west roots and focuses on booking shows in towns like the ones he grew up in.
